Today our walk was dedicated in honor of :
Marine LCPL Jessie Adam Cassada, Age 19, of Hendersonville, NC.
KIA Jan. 6, 2009 during Operation Enduring Freedom
It was the Marines or bust for Jessie. No other branch of service was going to satisfy him. He was a 2007 high school graduate and was assigned to Camp Lejeune.
He was outgoing, he loved fishing and loved his family
“He was a fine young man, and I would like the world to know that he was always a patriot and a good kid,” said Joyce Pruitt, a teacher.
It was a great honor to walk 10.19 Miles with Marine LCPL Jessie Adam Cassada. We walked Northside Drive to 127 and headed twoards town where we made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park. We read several names of our Fallen Brothers on the Memorial Wall . We then took West Ave back north and headed for the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. It was amazing. We had 465 honks today. I also want to thank Marine PFC Morgan Daly for helping us honor this hero.
Marine LCPL Jessie Adam Cassada will not be forgotten !
