Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Marine PFC Roy Shannon Wills, Age 19 of Brush Creek, TN.
KIA Jul. 14, 1969
PFC Wills is buried at Brush Creek Cemetery, TN
Their is a bridge on Hwy 53 about a mile from the farm where Shannon was raised that has his name and another hero who was killed in Vietnam as well. This is located in New Middleton, TN.
Also, in Crossville, TN their is a sign in the window at Michell’s Drug Store honoring him. I believe its been in the window for quite some time.
It was a great honor to walk 5.69 Miles with Marine PFC Roy Shannon Wills today. We headed down West Ave and walked to Lantana road and crossed over to Main Street. We made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park. We found a beautiful painted flag rock, we then made another stop in at Michell’s Drug Store. We then continued back north and turned back towards home once we past the Bakery. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero today. We had 407 honks. It was amazing. I also want to thank Navy MA3 Keagan Garrett for helping us honor this hero today.
Marine PFC Roy Shannon Wills will not be forgotten !
