Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:

Army Veteran Kelmer Gordon Cupp Sr, Age 77 of Tazewell, TN.
Died Jul. 26, 2022

Born April 6, 1945
Married 55 years to Betty (Cates) Cupp. (November 18, 1967)
Drafted at age 18.

Stationed in Geossen Germany on a missile attack sight, specialty was with generators. He acquired many metals some of which were for artillery and missiles.

It was a great honor to walk 5.56 miles with Army Veteran Kelmer Gordon Cupp Sr. We was getting ready to start our walk early this morning and something happened to my ankle but four hours later I was fine so we started out and headed towards town on West Ave. We walked by the City Fire Station and Police Station and then crossed over to main street. We made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park and read several names of our Fallen Brothers on the Memorial Wall. We then continued back north and turned back towards the house when we reached the Bakery. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted. We had 495 honks today. It was amazing. It was like everyone was in a great honking mood. It was amazing. I also want to thank Air Force SRA Zachary Rayl for helping us honor this hero today. We had a great walk.

Army Veteran Kelmer Gordon Cupp Sr will not be forgotten !
