During that time, he was also a member of the drumline and marching band at Paloma Valley High School. John’s love of music continued and he formed a number of local bands with friends. He was also very involved in recording and producing for other bands.

Even during his two deployments, John kept busy and always managed to maintain a positive atitude. He was an exceptional individual who touched many lives. Although he is gone, he will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege to know him.

It was a great honor to walk 5.55 Miles with Army SGT John C. Barcellano. It was still mostly dark when we headed out so we really enjoyed watching the sun come up. We walked up town and walked by the City Fire Station and then we made a stop in the Veterans Memorial Park where we read some names of our Fallen Brothers. We then walked back north on 127 and turned at the Bakery and headed back towards the house. We had a great walk. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 186 honks today. It was amazing. I also want to thank Navy GM1 Matthew Austin for helping us honor this hero today.
