Today our walk was dedicated in honor of:
Air Force SGT Edward R. Sitz, Age 25 of St. Pittsburg, TN.
KIA Apr. 21, 1973
He was assigned to the 388th Tac Fighter Wing
He was awarded the National Defense, Vietnam Service, and Vietnam Campaign Medals.
It was a great honor to walk 5.54 Miles with Air Force SGT Edward R. Sitz. We headed east on Sparta Hwy and then turned up West Ave. We made our way over to Lantana and Main Street and then made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park where we read all the names of our Fallen Brothers in the Vietnam War. We happend to look down and found a special painted rock with a heart on it. It made our day. After spending some time in the park we then made our way back to the house. We had a good walk even though it was around 87 degrees. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 359 honks today. I also want to thank Navy GM1 Mathew Austin for helping us honor this hero today.
Air Force SGT Edward R. Sitz will never be forgotten !
