Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Air Force Veteran Raymond Savoy Futch Jr, Age 88 of Orange Park, FL.
Died May 7, 2025
Raymond worked for 37 years with the US Postal Service and served his community through church work at Gray Gables Baptist Church Callahan FL, St. George COG and Hillcrest Baptist Church. He loved playing and dressing like Charlie Brown for Trunk or Treat in October.
It was a great honor to walk 8.27 Miles with Air Force Veteran Raymond Savoy Futch Jr. We walked by Holiday Hills Lake and watch a couple of ducks swimming. We then made a stop at the Garrison Park before heading up town to the Veterans Memorial Park. We read several names on the Memorial Wall of our Fallen Brothters and then headed to the Crossville City Cemetery where we spend time visiting with several of our Fallen Brothers and Sisters. While heading back to 127 we met up with a few Veterans and got to talk about what we were doing. We even met up with a homeless person who was interested in knowing what we was doing with the Flag. Once we reach the Bakery we headed back west and headed to the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. I want to thank Sgt Logan DeLanoy for walking with us today and helping us honor this hero. We had 210 honks today. Thank you. It was amazing.
