Our walk today was dedicated in honor of :

Marine LCPL Christopher P.J. Levy, Age 21 of Ramseur, NC.
KIA Dec. 10, 2011 during Operation Enduring Freedom

LCPL Levy was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C

LCpl Levy was a member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. He graduated from Eastern Randolph High School and was a member of the One Spirit Dance Group of the Guilford Native American Association. He honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps having paid the ultimate price for freedom. “No greater love hath any man than he lay down his life for another.” Your family, your friends, your community and your country will forever be grateful for the sacrifice that you made for us all.

It was a great honor to walk 11.85 Miles with Marine LCPL Christopher P.J. Levy. We walked out to Northsdie Drive and then headed South on 127. We made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park and read several names on the Memorial wall of our Fallen Brothers. We then went by the police, fire station and then headed back north on 127. We then turned at the Bakery and headed back towards the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping us honor this hero. We had 545 honks today. It was amazing. Thank you
