It was an honor to walk 12.01 Miles today with Navy Veteran Robert Frederick Bogardus Jr. It was still dark when we left the house but the sun started to come up by the time we hit town. Our first stop was the Veterans Memorial Park and then we headed out East First Street where we caught a glimps of the beautiful sunrise. We headed north on Peavine. It’s a very busy highway but 90 percent of it had a sidewalk to walk on. A few hours later we reached the Memorial Park their in Fairfield Glade. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 455 honks today. I also want to thank Navy GM1 Matthew Austin for joining us and helping us honor this hero today.
