Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:

Air Force Veteran Glen Vaughn, Age 54 of Monterey, TN.
Died Jan. 29, 2026

Glen was a Satellite Communications Engineer. He was a Air Force Veteran serving a tour of duty during Desert Storm. He was also a contract worker with United States Antarctic Program, Leonardo DRS, and United States Air Force Reserve. He was an adventurous person enjoying hiking, including hiking to 2nd highest mountain in the Philippines, traveling, scuba diving, sky diving, camping, hang gliding, and off-road motor biking.

It was a great honor to walk 5.63 Miles with Air Force Veteran Glen Vaughn. We walked West Ave and then walked by the Fire Station and City Police Station and then made our way back to main street. We made a stop in at the Veterans Memorial Park and we read names on the Memorial Wall of our Fallen Brothers. We then continued north on main street and turned back west at the Bakery and headed back to the house. I want to thank everyone who honked, waved, and saluted in helping me honor this hero. We had 482 honks today. It was amazing. I also want to thank Navy PO3 Ommy Molina III for joining our walk and helping us honor this hero. We had an amazing walk.

Air Force Veteran Glen Vaughn will not be forgotten !

  1. Thank you for walking for my friend Glenn. He was an amazing friend and definitely lived life to the fullest. He will always be a hero remembered to me.

  2. Thanks for honoring my Son! I wish I’d known and I would have been there. It was a beautiful tribute to him! He grew up in Mayland and graduated high school in crossville. He suffered greatly emotionally especially the last few months of his life. He didn’t feel like a hero. Thanks for the honor you gave him!
