Our hike today was dedicated in honor of:
Army National Guard Eric John Ward, Age 20 of Castalia, OH.
Died Aug. 22, 2016
He was born at Fort Hood, TX. in 1996
Graduated Margaretta High School and EHOVE where he was a 3 sport athlete, Ambassador, VIP, and Teen Leadership Corps participant.
He was currently attending Bowling Green State University, and was a member of the Army National Guard. He was known for his kind heart for the family pets, and enjoyed motorcycling, surfing, and spending time with his family and friends who all cared for him so much.
It was an honor to hike 2.48 miles with Army National Guard Eric John Ward today. We hiked the Airport South Loop Trail today. The weather was perfect and the trail was very beautiful. I want to thank Candy for helping me honor this hero today. I also want to thank SPC Jonathan Bryant for joining us and helping us honor this hero today. It was amazing.
