Our walk today was dedicated in honor of:
Army Veteran Codey W. Donahue, Age 29 of Bedford, VA.
Died Nov. 1, 2022
After highschool, Cody enlisted in the Army, He was deployed to South Korea and did a short stent in Afghanistan. He was SGT in the 82 Airborne in Fort Bragg, NC.
After serving in the Army he returned to Bedford where he started his own business in construction. He had a passion for hot rods with his stepdad. Codey enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and kayaking. He loved working with cattle, horses and recently was learning roping. Codey was very intelligent, sarcastic, and honest person who didn’t mind telling yhou what was on his mind. He will be missed by all who knew him.
It was a great honor to walk 4 miles with Army Veteran Codey W. Donahue today. We went to the Obed River Park and the weather was perfect. This was a special walk to bring awareness to PTSD. We had four other people walking with us today, It was an amazing walk. I want to thank CJ, Robert, Liz, and Memphis for coming out and joining in this special walk today. I also want to thank Marine SGT Logan Delanoy for helping us honor this hero.
Army Veteran Codey W. Donahue will never be forgotten !
